Bore gauge is an excellent tool to measure the inside diameter of a bore or hole, it is one of the most popular and widely used bores measuring tools in the field of mechanical manufacturing and equipment maintenance to ensure the accuracy of component assembly.
A dial bore gauge consists of dial indicator, screw, grip, joint, main device, anvil locking nut, anvil, washer, guide device, a movable measuring head, a fixed measuring head (measuring rod), interchangeable extension rods.
The dial indicator attached to a set of arms that expand to touch the walls of the bore. As you insert the gauge into the cylinder and expand the arms, the dial indicator provides a reading that reflects the bore’s diameter. This tool is vital for checking for wear, ensuring proper clearances, and verifying that the cylinder is round and straight. A good dial bore gauge can save you from costly mistakes that could arise from improper measurements.
Here is how to assemble the dial bore gauge:
1. Attaching the indicator
2. Selecting the anvils combination anvil or washers
Here are two types of bore gauges we supply:
The measuring range of bore gauge is achieved by changing or adjusting the length of the interchangeable probe. Therefore, bore gauge comes with a set of interchangeable probes. Bore gauge measuring range is available from a minimum of 6mm diameter to a maximum of 450mm diameter for metric and from a minimum of 0.24in diameter to a maximun of 6in diameter for inch, here we show the standard technical parameters as below:
Besides these standard measuring ranges, also available with customized measuring range based on special requrement.
